There are many factors that can cause those printed sizes to be different across multiple brands, makers, or eras. Each boot maker works on their own last which could have slight differences between each maker. Even the same boot maker over the years can have slight changes to their last causing that printed size to vary slightly. Used/Vintage boots especially can vary greatly in different printed sizes.

Things like how the previous owner (or owners) have worn the boots could cause them to stretch out or they could have even had the boots professionally stretched out at a boot repair store. The act of resoling or repairing boots can also make the printed size different from what it was when it left the factory. Boots also can be completely rebuilt by another boot maker to fit a previous owner. There are many many factors that cause boot sizes to be different. We do our best to provide as much information & measurements to help you confirm the fit to your foot.

That being said, contact me if there is an issue & I will do what I can to remedy the problem if possible. If the item has been miss-handled or marred in anyway, then any return privilege is INVALID.
